While our original vision had been abstract wall clocks and only abstract wall clocks, the new pieces are a more diverse collection. Catering to both home and business decor, we've worked hard to branch out from our origins. While functional clock paintings will still be a portion of our inventory, many of the new pieces will only contain clock movements to add actual movement to the art; not in a time-keeping capacity, but as a principle of design. Simply art that moves.
Each Abstract Times piece begins as an abstract painting; acrylic on hand-stretched canvas. Once the painting is complete, the canvas is reinforced from behind. Using the design of the painting as our guide, we then pick the best placement for one or more clock movements to bring the literal movement into the work. Individually painted clock hands or other materials are mounted onto the second, minute, and/or hour posts, allowing for a variety of movement speeds and effects. These can be customized to suit customer preference.
Every Abstract Times painting is 100% original hand-painted and constructed. These are individual, one-of-a-kind pieces of art, signed by the artist and will never be duplicated. All work is guaranteed for life; if any piece fails in any way simply contact us and we will arrange repair absolutely free of charge. Volume discounts are available.
